A Mother's Love: A mother Pitbull Trying to Recover to be Reunited with Her Son

Apple Jack, or often called AJ, was found on the street with his son, Tuttle. Since then they are in a shelter in Texas, but their condition makes AJ have to be willing to split up for a while with Tuttle. When found, AJ's entire body is covered with fungi and infectious skin infections. Tuttle's situation is slightly better than the mother, but if they are put together then the risk of catching each other will be great.

Since being separated from his son, AJ seemed always moody and would not come out of the cage. He does not even want to be approached. AJ did not understand that his health condition could endanger Tuttle. Sometimes he was invited to see Tuttle who progressively progressed in his health. Tuttle's feathers have grown as a sign Tuttle's skin has recovered. He also no longer wormy. But AJ is very sad because he is not allowed to kiss and lick Tuttle.

Slowly, AJ begins to understand that the people around him do not mean evil to him and Tuttle, so AJ opens up. He was not afraid anymore to get out of the cage, and welcome all the treatment with joy. AJ seems to want to get better, his spirits are getting higher every time he sees Tuttle.

Dr. Karri from Vet Ranch who took care of the two pitbull dogs, declared AJ's spirit to fight the disease was driven by her instincts as a mother. Sure enough, a few weeks later AJ's most awaited day arrived, where he could meet Tuttle. In touch with him, kiss, lick and play together. Both are declared cured of skin diseases and worms that they can live on the streets. After the recovery period, AJ and Tuttle prepare to leave the shelter to a new home where a family will love them forever.
