Cases of Dogs Escaped by Fireworks or Firecrackers and All We Have to do

The San Diego Animal Services shelter lost 57 dogs after the American Independence Day celebrations on 4 July. Every year, a festive celebration filled with thousands of fireworks released in the air and firecracker explosions, of course, makes many dogs terrified. About 40% of all dogs become incredibly panicked and frightened at the moment, so they try to escape to find a safe place.

Fear of dogs over loud or noisy sounds, such as firecrackers, lightning, construction work even traffic is a normal adaptive response to threats. When they encounter it, it will most likely affect the dog's behavior and psychology. Instinctively, they will seek refuge to avoid danger for survival. For trained dogs or dogs that have strong character, they are able to respond to these voices more persistently so as not to affect the attitude and psychological.

Dog owners in America usually get a warning a few days before a national celebration that could have a bad effect on their pet dogs. The warning is meant for the owners to prepare their dogs mentally before the day of celebration arrives. Dogs that stay away from noise are particularly vulnerable to loud noise, while dogs who often socialize with the environment and know more about human life will be more adaptable.

Dog trainers advise not to calm the dog by caressing them when the dog panic will sound loud. It is useful for humans, but not for dogs. Accompanying them whenever they are afraid can only be done once in a while, so that dogs do not have the dependence to find their owners when they are afraid. It is best to make the dog's focus shift so that they do not care about the sound, for example by inviting them to play. So slowly they will get used to interpreting loud noises as a threat, but a pleasant state where they can always be quiet.

For dogs that can not easily divert their focus, prepare a shelter for dogs that they feel comfortable with. So the dog will not break the window, chew things around, or climb over the fence desperately in search of shelter. Thus owners can be more calm to leave dogs at home, without fear of escaping or destructive acts, or experiencing trauma.
