In England, Ducks Have Own Line to Make a trip

Ducks sometimes appear in unexpected places, such as in the middle of a busy highway, nesting under the balcony of the house, or in the middle of the field. Surely this duck usually lives near the water like a pond.

Reported by Amusingplanet Monday (8/6), England and Wales have more than 2,000 miles of water. Along the towpaths there is a very narrow road, barely enough wide for cyclists or pedestrians.

The narrow lane is then used by the Canal & River Trust organization responsible for keeping the aqueduct as a "Duck Path" along the waterways in London, Birmingham and Manchester. This path is one step in the "Sharing space, reduce your speed" campaign that encourages cyclists or pedestrians to become more attentive to wildlife.

Concern for wildlife is not only applicable in British towpaths, but all sidewalks in general. It is the responsibility of everyone who cycles or walks to stay alert and cautious while in the opposite direction.

Last year, the city of Chongqing, China opened a "mobile street" for people who were too focused on playing their smartphones on foot wherever they did without bothering to meet other pedestrians.
